Prof. Brig. Gen. Dr. Yadon Kohi
Professor Yadon Kohi holds Bachelors (LLB) and Masters (LLM) degrees in Law (OUT, Tanzania), Bachelors degree in Medicine(MB ChB) (Makerere) and a Masters degree in Medicine(University of Glasgow, Scotland).
He was the first neurosurgeon in Tanzania. Professor Kohi has had a distinguished career in public service spanning more than thirty years. He served in the Tanzania Peoples Defence Forces rising to the rank of Major General. He has also served as the Director General of the Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH), a State Corporation created to further and promote scientific research and development. He is the vice president of the Africa Malaria Network Trust and has held teaching positions at the Open University of Tanzania.
Professor Kohi is a member of the Tanzania Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow.
Professor Kohi is a distinguished expert in the fields of Medical law, Medical malpractice and negligence.
