A broad mix of skills including leadership, technical and organisational in the field of agriculture, health, nutrition science and technology, policy and gender, advocacy, fund raising, financial and grant management. Nov 2012-March, Chief of Party of a USAID funded project "Innovation in Gender Equality to Improve Household Food Security in Tanzania” implemented by Land O’Lakes IDD Inc, Tanzania focusing on empowering women in the agricultural sector and demonstrating to Tanzanian society the meaningful and important roles women play in agriculture, food security and nutrition sectors. March-Nov 2012: Program and Advocacy Manager of Partnership in Nutrition for Tanzania (PANITA) program at Save the Children, Tanzania.
PANITA is a CSO platform established and launched in August 2011 to raise the profile of nutrition in Tanzania through enhancing the public-private partnership in addressing malnutrition problems in support of government commitments and efforts to scaling up nutrition. March 2002 - Sept 2011: Director of Research Coordination and Promotion at Tanzania Commission for Science & Technology, (COSTECH), a government agency.
As the Director of Research Coordination and Promotion at COSTECH, successfully managed, directed and oversaw programs and day-to-day activities of the Directorate. April 1980-February 2002: Worked with Tanzania Food and Nutrition Centre (TFNC) as a researcher on matters of food & nutrition with a focus on infant and young child feeding.
