Prof. Idris S. Kikula
Prof. Idris Suleiman Kikula is the Chairman of the Mining Commission, since April 2018. Before this appointment, he served as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dodoma, Tanzania, the post he held for eleven years.
Prof. Kikula has been a Member of the UONGOZI Institute’s Board of Directors for over seven years before being appointed as the Vice-Chairperson of the UONGOZI Institute.
He has served as Chairman and member in various boards of directors of public institutions including Tanzania Institute of Education, National Development Corporation, Ocean Road Cancer Institute and Tanzania Commission of Universities.
He has been also working as the Principal of the University College of Lands and Architectural Studies, Director of Research and Publications at the University of Dar-Es-Salaam and Commissioner in the Commission of Science and Technology.
Prof. Kikula has conducted various researches on globalization and the natural resources domain in Tanzania, an author and co-author of the several books and publications.
